Sen. John McCain tells "Meet the Press" that he was "surprised" but "wasn't shocked" to see Alaska Governor Sarah Palin resign as Governor of Alaska. Yet he later says, "I don't think she quit." He then says that it's "consistent" with qualities of leadership to quit. When asked whether or not he would endorse her in 2012, McCain said it's "too early", but he thinks "she will play a major role" in 2012.
